Yes, we know, we know! The new design of our flower boxes was long overdue. At the Alani farm we were just busy-busy-busy with other things. But, as we would like to think, waiting for the box was worth it: finally our flowers will be transported in the style they so deserve. Bright yellow and with Lady Alani on the top of the box to be admired, the beautiful new Alani box is quite difficult to overlook.
The title sentence comes from a famous and classic love poem written by Robert Burns. The red rose wins every competition as a symbol of love hands-down. It is not difficult to guess red roses are the most popular flowers sent on Valentine’s Day as they represent strong feelings of love and passion. Although at Alani Gardens we love roses of every colour, we’re nonetheless happy to let you know that we strengthened our supply of reds. Magnificent Freedom and our lovely Bandleader are available for the Holidays this year. Please check out our portfolio.
This year Alani Gardens will be attending the FloraHolland Trade Fair in Aalsmeer for the first time. With 650 growers and 50 breeders this is a not-to-be-missed event. Please come and pay us a visit in stand number 13.4 (hall 1) to get (re-) acquainted with our roses, our brightly shining stars. Looking forward to seeing you again!
FloraHolland Trade Fair – Aalsmeer, The Netherlands – from Wednesday 4 to Friday 6 November 2015
The First Lady of Kenya has selected our Lady Margaret to decorate State House on the occasion of the visit of Mr. Obama to Kenya this week. The rose was named after the First Lady of Kenya, Her Excellency Margaret Kenyatta at the recent IFTEX 2015.
The bright pink colour reveals a bubbly, vibrant personality. One can only love her (like we do): Lady Margaret is the floral equivalent of strawberry icecreams and beautiful walks on sunny mornings.
Lady Margaret is grown in Kenyan soil under her vibrant sun…on the Alani Gardens farm! We’re so excited! Want to meet her? Click here.
At IFTEX 2015 we introduce our new pink varieties Pink Wedding, Suplesse, Alina, Aquarius, Arleene, Barbarella and Pretty Belinda.
See you in Nairobi (stand B3.02) June 3-5!
Last Thursday (9th of April) Alani Gardens had the pleasure of winning not one but two VGB Awards in the category Imported Roses at The Keukenhof Flower Park (NL). Never too much of a good thing it seems! Our sophisticated Paloma was awarded with 8.9 and sweet Lipstick with 8.7 (out of 10). We would like to thank the Jury for bestowing us the honor and for their recognition.
To read more visit the VGB website (Dutch only). VGB is the branch organization of wholesalers in horticultural products. Its members are national importing and exporting wholesalers. Its members represent € 3.5 billion of sales in the horticultural industry.
The production of Skyline, Cashmere and Diana (see picture on the left) on our Alani farm is coming on really nicely. As a result we’re very excited to announce that from Tuesday the 10th of February onwards these roses will go to auction at FloraHolland Rijnsburg. We expect our yellow, creme and pink ladies to star just as nicely in auction as they do at home on our farm in Kenya!
2014 has been pretty amazing for us. Alani Gardens would like to thank all of you for making this possible. We plan on continuing to grow and flourish in 2015. With your support and business we have full confidence in being able to do so!
Alani Gardens wishes you & your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a prosperous and blooming 2015.
In an ideal world our roses would be readily available for everyone. We and you, our valued client, love our flowers and just can’t seem to get enough. Well, we’re getting there step-by-step! At the moment we’re preparing an extra 3 hectares for glass houses at the Alani Gardens farm. We will definitely need the space because we’re very excited to let you know that we will be growing at least 12 new varieties in 2015! Watch this site from January onwards as we will personally introduce our new stars to you…
