With our Njoro highland farm blooming and thriving, Alani Gardens is more than ready for the next step. From February 19, 2014 onwards, our roses will be available through FloraHolland Rijnsburg. Alani Gardens will introduce 15 of its most exquisite varieties, 6 of which will be available as Limited Editions. Please check out our rose portfolio here. For more information, please do not hesitate to contact us through our Dutch or Kenyan offices.
Of course Alani Gardens will attend the International Floriculture Trade Fair (IFTF) in Vijfhuizen, Netherlands. The fair will be held from 6 to November 8, 2013. The IFTF has more than doubled in size this year: more than 150 companies will be present and Alani Gardens will naturally be one of them. Our Kenyan farm has been in production for more than 6 months now and our roses have had wonderful reviews. We think the IFTF is the perfect occasion to meet with you – our clients and prospects – and hear from you personally how we could be of better service. Therefore we cordially invite you to our stand (number A4.26) to catch up or meet for the first time. We hope to see you there!
We are happy to announce the planting of 5 new varieties on our Alani Gardens farm in Njoro, Kenya. Five exciting new roses are being launched for the first time ever in Africa: Diamond Jubilee, First Lady, Green Gene, Matador and Omara, a beautiful velvety yellow variety. All 5 varieties have been bred by Rosen Tantau, the world’s largest (and best!) cut rose breeder for many years. Our new additions seem to feel right at home in Kenya and are growing nicely so we expect first flowers in January 2014. We will keep you posted…
Recently the Alani Gardens farm has installed a cable way for transporting our freshly cut roses from the greenhouses to the grading hall. We clearly see that this new technique benefits our delicate flowers as the risk of damage through ‘manhandling’ is greatly reduced. As achieving the highest possible quality in our product is very important to us, the new cable way fits our farm perfectly. We will definitely continue looking for any possible improvements in production methods!
Last week Alani Gardens exhibited her flowers at the IFTEX show in Nairobi. Hundreds of flower buyers from more than 25 countries travelled to Nairobi sourcing fresh cut flowers and visited Alani’s stand. We thank all our visitors who came all the way to see us. For the ones who could not make it: next show will be IFTF in The Netherlands from 6 – 8 November.
The International Floriculture Trade Expo (IFTEX) is to be held for the second time in Nairobi, Kenya from June 5 to June 7. It promises to be even bigger and better than last years’ show. The IFTEX is rapidly developing into an important global event for both growers and suppliers in the floricultural industry. Of course Alani Gardens will attend. Please visit us at our stand (B.2.02, Karania Hall), directly opposite the main entrance. We are looking forward to meeting you there!
We proudly present our new flower sleeve! In Royal Alani blue, with the logo in antique gold and of course Alani. For us she represents the Alani brand perfectly: in class and beauty in a league of her own, standing out in the crowd, to be instantly fallen in love with. You will definitely notice the lady Alani when she enters the room, just like you will notice our wonderful roses!
Things are progressing smoothly at Alani Gardens in Njoro. The ideal weather, the fertile soil and the altitude are all working together perfectly. The crops we planted late last year are coming to full bloom and the first harvests are providing roses of sublime quality. It seems our roses love the place, just like we do! We have planted 15 different varieties of which 7 can be ordered at this moment. The remaining 8 are available either in limited numbers or from summer 2013 onwards. Please check out our portfolio for up to date information.
